QCBF 2024
We are excited to announce that The Innovation Barn has been selected as the host venue of the 2024 Queen City Brewers Festival. The organization behind all of the programming at this combination of entrepreneurial businesses, zero-waste initiatives and one-of-a-kind event space, Envision Charlotte, will be QCBF's beneficiary. As always, Queen City Brewers Festival will be held in February on Super Bowl Saturday: 2.10.2024.
The Beers for Life "Super Brew" theme at QCBF will be returning in 2024. Each participating brewery will be asked to feature an eco-friendly brew at the festival - examples could include beers made with locally sourced ingredients, powered by solar energy or in partnership with Change Please, The Bulb or one of The Innovation Barn's other eco-friendly vendors - to raise awareness of Envision Charlotte initiatives.
These festival-exclusive beers will be especially identifiable by the Beers for Life tap handles made from plastic can carriers (also known as pak-techs) collected and processed at The Innovation Barn. After debuting at QCBF, breweries will release these beers in their taprooms across the Charlotte region.
Tickets to QCBF 2024 go on sale Wednesday, November 1st at 12:00 a.m.
In the meantime, visit the newly designed QCBF website to check out the latest details including brewery participants and more about Envision Charlotte https://qcbrewfest.com/

Lower Left Lions Mane Release
April is Autism Awareness Month! Come support Autism with us!
Friday is jam packed with awesome activities:
2pm: Lions Mane SouthEast IPA Release (proceeds benefit The Autism Strong Foundation)
5-6pm: Push-up Challenge (*see below for more information)
6-8pm: A Worthy Dog Food Truck
6-8pm: Rock Painting with @Alexroxinc
6-9pm: LLive Music with Chris Sheppard
Saturday:
12pm: Court Shoes Only Black IPA Release (Proceeds benefit ACEing Autism)
6-9pm: LLive Music with DT Duos
We have partnered with The Autism Strong Foundation to create a very special beer for them, Lions Mane Southeast IPA. This beer is best described as a low-bitterness West Coast IPA with more body, this is an easy drinking IPA brimming with notes of all things tropical; pineapple, lychee, mango, guava, and passionfruit. Malt additions of pilsner, carapils, blonde roast oats, and crystal malts provide ample body and a smooth mouthfeel. A massive Dry Hop dose of Vic Secret, Citra, and (new favorite) HBC 586 provides the intense aromatics. 1 in 54 people are diagnosed with Autism so it is no coincidence that we finished with 5.4%ABV! $1 from every pint sold in April will be donated to the Autism Strong Foundation.
How many push-ups can you do in one minute? The Charlotte Beer Collective is hosting a Push-up Challenge from 5-6pm Friday night. The male and female with the most push-ups will win a swag prize package!
Paint a rock for Autism! @alexroxinc will be here 6-8pm with all the supplies needed. Donations appreciated!
The BEER Event

CBC Wing Bowl
We will be pairing 12 of the most popular wing sauces from DD Peckers with different beers in our first Wing Bowl. We will have over 300 wings, for which people will vote on the three best sauce/beer pairings.
Huge thanks to D.D. Peckers, Scarlett Property Group and Sierra Nevada for helping us put this together!
Heist Night and Day
Our festival will be held on 10/30/21 at our Barrel Arts location. And yes, costumes will be welcome!
This one celebrates the diversity of beer. For each attending brewery, we ask that they bring either two completely different styles of beer, or two completely different hues. Pastry stouts, heavily fruited sours, hazy stuff, crispy stuff, and everything in between!
For our comeback event, we invited a whole slew of people that joined us for the inaugural event in 2019...but we decided to go out in to the beer world and make some new friends to bring on the journey this year.
Here are the details we can share so far:
10/30/21
45+ breweries
VIP Entry at 12 PM
General entry at 1 PM
Pours go until 5 PM
Unlimited tastings (or until everyone runs out of beer)
VIP Ticket will include one hour early entry, a shirt, limited edition glassware, mixed 4-pack of cans, food token, and one hour early access to purchase guest cans and bottles. 100 will be available.
All tickets, VIP and general public, will go on sale in mid-August.
We hope you can join us for one of our favorite times of the year, and celebrate. Because we can't wait to party with you all!
